Buttermilk Benefits

Buttermilk is a probiotic food which means it has the good bacteria which helps digestion and builds immunity. It is made by thinning the curd/yogurt with water. This is the most common food in India and its taste is enhanced here by adding various spices to it.
People with digestion problems are advised not to drink milk but drink buttermilk. Buttermilk also has almost the same amount of calcium and calories and so is a substitute for calcium intake.
